Brabus’s new car is the 550 Adventure 4×42 based on the Mercedes G550 and it is the most off-road-capable supercar.
The Adventure is fitted with a twin-turbo V8 producing 550hp and 800 Nm of torque. Thanks to the powerful engine the Adventure is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 210 km/h depending on selected tires.
The Adventure has distinctive features to go along with its extreme off-roading character. It has the basics; a winch in the front, grille guard and skid plates. It has been fitted with the Brabus Monoblock HD alloys which supposedly can withstand the most extreme stress, and provide maximum traction off-road. Brabus has developed electronically adjustable suspensions to ensure excellent off-road capability by increasing ground clearance and having different damper settings between ‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’, ‘Off-Road’ and ‘Individual’ drive modes.
The Brabus team did not compromise luxury for Adventure’s ability off-roading. The car’s interior is fitted with soft and breathable leather. The combination of carbon elements, Alcantara highlights and aluminium components cocoons the occupants in luxury. Considering the purpose of this car is off-roading, I’m not sure how easy it would be to clean mud and dirt from the extravagant interior.
