KleinVision’s flying car flies for the first time!
The Aircar has just passed its first flight tests at Nitra Airport and successfully transitioned from driving mode to flying and back to ground driving mode again. Drive to flight transition takes three minutes!
The Aircar only needs a runway of 300m and is powered by a 1.6 litre BMW engine producing 104kW and weighs a total of 1100 kg with a cruising top speed of 200km/h.
The current car is only a two-seater and has been under development since 2016. The company is also working on a four-seater version.
The company is aiming to certify the airframe with a 224 kW engine within the next six months.
Maybe the future is flying cars, not EVs.
