Alfa Romeo Australia is working very hard to receive an allocation for the limited edition road rocket the Giulia GTA!
Alfa Romeo Australia’s director of product strategy, Guillaume Drelon has said; “we are working on it. We are pushing out to get it for Australia. It’s not yet confirmed but it’s something we’re working on seriously.”
Limited to just 500 units, the GTA is powered by the Ferrari developed 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that puts out 402 kW (533 horsepower) of power. That’s 27 kW (30 horsepower) more than the award-winning Giulia Quadrifoglio!
Alfa hasn’t released any torque figures yet but the road rocket will do the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds (0.3 of a second faster than the Quadrifoglio). And thanks to its carbon-fibre diet the GTA actually ended up being 100 kg lighter than the Quadrifolgio.
Price wise it’ll probably be closer to the $200K range since the Quadrifoglio starts at around $138K. We’ll know once allocations have been made for the limited edition.
